2. Hanging Shoe Organizers
I have a lot of shoes. That’s what she said. Anyway, I decided that is was officially time to make them more accessible. These over-the-door shoe organizers are not new inventions. But, the placement makes all the difference in my small space. I grabbed one for my sandals (and yes, a couple stragglers at the bottom). My poor, squashed sandal collection lived in a disorganized pile in a milk crate in my closet. Guess what that means? It means that I could never find what I was looking for ever, that’s what that means. The other shoe organizer is strictly for sneakers. I put this one in my coat closet so that I can easily grab them on my way out the door.
3. Jewelry Stands
rarely wear jewelry. I am definitely picky about what I like, and I would call myself a minimalist in what I choose to wear. That being said, I always admire women who spruce up a basic outfit with jewelry accessories. I have accumulated enough over the years that I could do that, too. Sadly, everything I own has been thrown into bags and boxes and hidden away so that I can’t see everything at one time. I knew if I was ever going to actually wear any of it I would have to find a way to display it. I found these jewelry organizers on Amazon and I made myself sit down and go through everything. I put some of the pieces I don’t normally wear (heirlooms from my grandmothers) back into labeled boxes and the rest I displayed on my bedroom dresser.
4. Travel and Mini Toiletries
We all have a stash of these somewhere. My collection has grown and the reason being that I can never locate what I’ve purchased in the past, so I buy new every single time. I wanted to keep everything in a place where I could grab and go while getting ready for a trip or entertaining guests who may need something. I picked up some totes to help me organize my mini toiletries, travel bags, and random travel accessories. I put this tote drawer in my coat closet next to my luggage so that I can grab and go.
5. Winter Accessories
Using the same totes I picked up for travel and toiletries, I found a home for all of my winter accessories. I actually really love winter hats and headbands, etc., so I probably have more than the average person. I like to match my accessories to my outfit, so I decided to find a more permanent place for them. I put a three-tiered tote in my coat closet for easy access. Now all my winter accessories are in the same place.

7. Bedding
If you haven’t figured it out yet, my apartment has virtually no storage. I wanted to find a place to easily access my extra bedding. And if you weren’t aware, bedding takes up a lot of space. SO, I found these storage bags that can easily slide under my bed. They are like Mary Poppins bag once you start throwing stuff in, and they have handy little handles on the side so I can grab them and slide them back out when I’m ready to use them.
